I knew this was coming. A couple months back, when Aruba and NL were at it, I recall saying that it looks as though Den Haag is trying to push the islands into a position where (out of frustration) they would say to hell with it... we dont need to be part of the kingdom. The same behavior they gave to Aruba, they gave to St. Maarten. The one thing they want(ed) the islands to do, has not been done and now they come up with this none sense. Nicely worded, but only a fool would fall for this crap. And dont get me wrong here: I am not picking up for the crap the politicians on the island(s) are pulling either. But this?! This Is so not the way we deal with each other. What are you guys thoughts on this? Oh yeah! For those of you (Antilleans) that are fans of Plasterk, remember that he too, is VVD. And the VVD, my friend...does not have our islands interest at heart. Always remember that. To them, we (with the attitude our politicians display) are just unneeded and unwanted burdens. Rutte visited the islands last year, and one of the first things he told Curacao was if you guys wanna leave, just tell me and we can fix that. I wont hesitate to sign the papers. Trip on that for a second. I think its high time we start getting our act together and stepping up to the plate. And if you ask me...all the islands need a clean sweep in leadership. And no, not gradually...but in one shot. Im tired of this foolish talk now. Seriously tired.
