I know I face possible public stoning for saying this, but...if we cant beat the Skins (the Skins!!!) we have no business being in the playoffs. Whether we can persevere at the expense of Dallas is a moot point. Were not going to win the Super Bowl, and even if by a roll of the dice or Romo getting a hang nail and leaving the game or whatever, we actually make the playoffs, we arent going to get much past the first round. So I think it might be better if we just sort of fade out of the picture ASAP, because the longer it goes on, the more we will weep and wail when the inevitable happens. There are a lot of good football teams out there this year. Were not one of them. Neither is Dallas. So we really dont need to dwell on that until next year. :-) My Super Bowl selections havent been narrowed down just yet, but Im leaning towards New England (Tom Brady is getting old. The Brady Belichick Dynasty is getting old. Id like to see Brady go out on top. I really dont care what happens to Belichick, but since theres no Brady without Belichick, well...). My second choice would be Detroit. Detroit always needs good news, and a Super Bowl would be good news. And it never fails to amaze me that Matthew Stafford, who looks like he should still be playing Pop Warner ball, is as good as he is. My third choice is the Green Bay Packers, mainly because Aaron Rodgers has done a great job of making everyone forget the embarrassment Brett Favre turned into in his later years. And also because, well, cheese is one of my favorite foods. :-) But OF COURSE Ill still be rooting for the Colts this afternoon. :D
