I know I have some friends/followers who work at Starbucks or know/live with someone who does, so heres a question: is there a Bay Area-wide tea shortage right now? Last Thursday I heard a barista in the sunset district tell a customer that they were out of most teas. This morning I went to a location on Powell street and they said pretty much the same when I tried to order a London Fog and wound up with an English Breakfast latte because that was all they had (also, I dont recommend that combo :( pretty gross). They both said something to the effect of there being shipping delays/complications. So, like, did someone go Boston Tea Party with the San Francisco shipment or something? Anyone have some intel on this?
