I know I keep banging on about it, but there is something special about seeing these young people in my workshops change their minds within an hour. My first question is about their views on politics, and all 4 classes up to now have all hated it. After a presentation about the work Im involved with, and then getting them started on a debate, but weighing up the positives and negatives and building the argument - you see the excitement in their eyes. They go from zero interest to wanting to change the world. And rightly so. Politics doesnt have to be boring old men in suits. And you dont have to be a politician to make a difference to peoples lives. And the girl tweeting yesterday: A lot of thoughts from this morning who knew things could change if you work hard. Im so glad that is the message she got from the session. Its my last one in St Hildas tomorrow. After my workshop tomorrow I will have worked with over 110 girls aged 13-14. Then off to the next school, hopefully to inspire the next generation!
