I know,I know, someone is going to call me an asshole, but I have to say it!! Now I dont want to get bashed for saying I dont agree that money should be raised for a good cause, but I think it IS a total waste of water to pour it over your head!! I know its just water!! But in some places just water is Life or death, just water is crops or famine, just water is lush or drought. We are so used to being wasteful that we dont look at the big picture, als ice bucket challenge has made over $40 Million Dollars, but how much of that do you have to subtract to pay for the water? Even though we are surrounded by it, it is NOT free!!! Even though earth is mostly water, it is still not drinkable water, without spending money to make it that way. And everyone is going to come at me and say stupid shit I have heard lately like who cares what happens in Africa? Or Its for a good cause but think of it like this, it is NOT just Africa in need of water. California is in need of water! Ohio was in need of water 2 weeks ago! After hurricane Katrina everyone in Louisiana was need of water! Babies died from NO water!! After earth quakes,tsunamis, tornados, hurricanes, drought etc water is needed!! Why do we have to waste resources, there has to be a better way! I know it has made A LOT of money, but can we figure out a way to make money without wasting money? And there are a thousand other illnesses and diseases out there that need funding also and get no pledges. Are we supposed to all just go on FB call someone out and donate? That is a million people dumping water and very little of them donating. If we put our brains together we could do so much more!! If we can raise $40 Million Dollars in under a month, then why the hell are their homeless people, why are there people dying in the winter time from being out in the cold, why are our elderly not cared for, and God PLEASE explain why we are having a debt crisis in the U.S. if we can raise that kind of money!!! It just makes no sense to me. If you want to do a challenge to raise awareness or money for a good cause, lets start with the first good cause being digging our ass out of our debt nightmare!! And if we did that and stopped being Soo wasteful then we would have money for other needs, like research, and homelessness, and military wages, and vets who need care, and elderly who need insurance and assistance!! So like I said i know Im the asshole, but I just dont understand. Sorry for the rant. Im not MEDICATED!! Lmao
