I know I posted this on my personal page, but here it is again. Some serious winds rolling through right now out of the South, which will crank the temperatures up to the mid to upper 60s. The front will come through sometime between 5 and 8 PM, bringing a line of showers and probably true storms, albeit not severe ones. I do not see a Severe T-Storm Watch going up unless rapid intensification occurs of the line in the next two hours. I also do not see CAPE or instability being at levels that will generate major cyclonic activity. THAT SAID, as Jordan reminded me, wind shear is definitely there. That alone can create enough rotation in the upper levels to generate a mesocyclone. It still bears watching, in essence. Update to come around 3:30 or so. Chasing is still up in the air. Well see how the line holds together over the Blue Ridge. There are rumors starting to fly around about early next week, I will have a post much later tonight on all that could go WRONG with that threat...
