I know I should just leave Britney alone. Despite her popularity, riches and her antics, I think she is struggling with mental issues. I always thought she was a pretty girl, so I got her appeal. But, I thought she could at least sing somewhat. But, this example shows that technology is allowing her to have a career. The producer says that this isnt the final take. But, I kinda think it is - before auto tune. Shes in a controlled studio situation, where she can hear, and shes not dancing around. What annoys me about this is that music and musical aptitude are once again taking a back seat to dancing and good looks. Technology cant make her look good or dance, but it can fix her vocal caterwauling. I guarantee that people going to her shows are hearing the tuned vocals on tracks all the time. Im sure she has a lip syncing coach and probably spends more time with that person than a vocal coach. Bummer.
