I know I spout off a lot.. Im sure many of you are heartily sick of hearing me talk.. but here is a topic I can finally say I really know something about. There have been many comments from folks saying the Tom to Canada storyline isnt possible and is badly researched because it cant be done.. Well it can be done because I did it.. One point everyone seems to be over looking.. Tom ISNT looking to emigrate to Canada. He never mentioned emigrating.. or even permanent residence status.. he said he was going for a job interview. Hes bought a ticket.. he does NOT need a visa to enter Canada and he can stay 6 months without one. Maybe the job is an unpaid internship.. maybe hell do it under the table.. shock horror it does happen.. and maybe if he likes it he will then as an individual apply to stay in Canada from within... which is much easier than trying to emigrate from abroad... particularly as a whole family. Or in 6 months the editor will need some shocking Xmas storyline and Tom will get dragged back to be a part of it.... whatever. Either way.. I dont have much good to say about the production team at TA at the moment.. but in their defence I can state categorically that what the script writers are proposing for Tom can absolutely be done... because I did it. Ok.. Ill shut up now.
