I know I will get all sorts of lashes for this but I figure someones gotta say it: As an Athlete you are told to work HARD, give your BEST ALWAYS, be CONSISTENT, no PAIN no GAIN, Show up and DELIVER without fail. Please forgive me if Im wrong here but, recently we participated in the Inter Provincial Championships in CPT. A womens ALL STAR team was selected from that tournament. These are young women who had hopes of representing their country in the next coming Womens World Championship(WWC) in Netherlands but sadly it would not be. Now, one thing that Administrators sometimes forget is that, as an Athlete your job is on the field, we dont do much of agendas and the rest of the stuff but as the athletes that we are, we always try our best to deliver. I feel the simplest thing and the most honorable and reasonable thing to do from SSA side would have been to AT LEAST, say SORRY to ALL those players that were selected to be in the ALL STAR team but can not take part in the WWC this year. To come out and explain exactly what ALL STAR team selection meant. Not pointing fingers at anybody here but I think our players deserve at least that. Bottom line is, the players did their job and still continue to do so. the questions I have are: Whose job is it to Administrate and take care of players, the Logistics, etc. if not Administration and Management? Why is it that we cannot blame poor/inconsistent administration and or Management for the situation that we find ourselves in at the moment? Why is it wrong to ask questions and want to know facts without being pointed as trying to poison peoples minds? Why is it when something goes wrong its always out of our hands? Why do we keep wondering when we lose athletes to other codes? We love this sport otherwise we wouldnt stick around. Its time for the other side of the table to own up and most of all MAN up! On behalf of all those players who were thinking it but just couldnt say it. #Player
