I know Im not a famous person, and I have little to no influence, but I would like to issue a serious challenge. Its no secret that one of the causes of societys ills is the lack of men in the homes. There are many underlying reasons for this epidemic, one of which is substance abuse. Arms of Mercy, Inc. is one organization that is tirelessly working to remedy that problem. ARMS OF MERCY, INC. is a shelter for men who struggle with addiction. They offer a 90-day in-house program and they do not charge their clients anything while they are there. By the grace of God, I have never been in need of such services, but many of us might be or have been just one more drink, pill or shot away from requiring help. They are in need of funding. The organization is funded without the assistance of the government. It is strictly funded by donations from caring, concerned citizens who see the need for such a place of hope. Im not asking you to dump ice water on your head or jump in a pool or lake. Im certainly not asking you to set yourself on fire! All Im asking is that you prayerfully consider making a donation that may help to restore a man to his place in his home and community. I have seen the fruit of their labor. This is a very worthwhile cause.
