I know Im white and I know the privilege that comes with that. I also am gender neutral and to an outsider biologically female. Women/trans/queer folks are oppressed by this society and if you arent white and recognize with any preferences just mentioned then its most likely you experience the worse of peoples bigotry and prejudices anyhow. Im a white person and Other white people have been involved in the protests that have been going on across the country...there has been a lot of conversations about being white and checking your privilege and knowing your place in these protests . In response ....white silence is white compliance. If you are rich and white and are enraged about the number of people let alone number of minorities that are shot by police everyday then please do not hesitate to utilize all that money for the greater good and for the awareness of these tragic events that keep happening. Know that yes your skin color does apply to authoritarian figures in society and that it can advantage you if you are caucasian, but it does not mean you cannot protest and does not mean you shouldnt be enraged about people being murdered. We all are in it together.
