I know a lot of you have heard the rumors, so I guess its time to fess up: tonight was supposed to be my last race. So, as of now, I am officially retired from racing. 34 years flew by so fast, I have met so many people and made lots of frendships. A lot of people I have to thank on this incredible journey:1st my crew throughout the years, Dave Effertz Dean (Shelley Ghelfi) Ethan Niles Davey Effertz Doug Lee Mike Horge Danny Taylor David Hass....(and if I forgot someone Im sorry) for all of the hard work and dedication to make our team better. You are some of my best friends in the world and I can never ever thank you enough for all youve done. Next, Dan Deicher Jacklyn Daniels-Nuttleman Jeff Brown, Brian Simpson Jean Taylor Matt Skradie Dale P. Danielski Dan Plan and Bruce Nuttleman for somehow making me look good in the media. A very special Thank You to Rik Franke for getting me into radio. ...you started something so cool my friend, and Ive enjoyed the ride ever since. Next is my family: my wife Lori Niles and my sons Travis Niles Ethan Niles and David Niles, Ive missed a lot of family functions and ball games and youve supported me and I love you dearly for it. Chuck Deery David Noelke and the staff at the La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway for providing an awesome place to enjoy my hobby. And finally, my father Mike Niles for being one of the greatest car owners a guy could have. I can never ever thank you all for helping me enjoy this incredible sport. But I thank you all for riding with me. It has been soo cool to be a part of this sport. Thank you for allowing me to entertain you, excite you, have fun with you, but most of all, supporting local racing. I love you all, thank you.
