I know a lot of you have this pressing question youve been wanting to ask me: Mike, what is your favorite era in commercial music? At long last, I will reveal the answer: the late 1980s-early 1990s alternative era, pre-Nirvana, of course! And one of my favorite bands of the time, that really, really typifies the sound is Welsh band The Darling Buds! Soaring, zoomy, atmospheric guitars, big drums, and of course, light, airy female vocals dispensing catchy melodies.
