I know all of my Conservative friends on here think of me as a liberal, but everyone else seems to understand that I am an independent. Thats certainly what my voter ID card shows! That said, heres a great article illustrating why those on the left need to stop overreacting to last night. It was a drubbing for the left...largely due to the states involved, the low voter turnout and poor candidates. However, props to those in the Occupy Movement who have made a difference by making it so that those on the Right are now talking about these points just a few years later. On top of that, gay marriage is legal in new states every month and states voted for increased minimum wages, paid time off and legalization of pot last night. Redistricting will keep the House red for years, but Republicans stand NO hope in a national election until at least 2024. Once the demographics of the country change over those ten years as well, who knows what the future holds for them in a national format...unless they dramatically change their platform.
