I know every school year requires adjusting periods for not only children but parents as well. However this year is far beyond adjusting. We have 2 children who are now in high school and they came home today saying that the principal told them during class meetings that "he owned them". I would like to say that his position is a paid position and he works for us the parents and will never own our children. If we want to pick our children up for a dentist appointment then that is my right as their parent. A huge wake-up call needs to be given to the board of education and administration.
