I know everyone has been patiently waiting for my amazing news, so here it is: My son Christopher Kuykendall at the beginning of the school year reached out to a little boy and his mom because this young boy was being bullied! He had an amazing lunch with him and created a great friendship between the two! After the lunch was talked about on Facebook, many parents reached out to my son to have lunch with their kiddos! Christopher knowing he couldnt possibly see all these children was approached by a fellow football player named Brevin Young who loved what Chris had done and also wanted to go help a child by having lunch! Chris and I talked and talked and he came up with the Eagle Buddies program! So many football players stepped up wanting to be apart of this along with Cheerleaders, Volleyball players, swim team, band, theater, baseball players and so many others! It took a few months to convince Chris to do a news paper article about what he started and then NEWSWEST 9 did an interview!!!! We were so excited to be helping all these young children! We had many talk shows reach out to us wanting to do the story and are very excited to say that Chris and Brevin will be on the Meredith Vieira Show airing Friday Dec. 5th!!!! Chris and Brevin will be flying to New York on Sunday to begin taping!!!!! They will be skyping in live with the Eagle Buddy football players during the show!!!!! I am so proud of each and everyone of these young men and woman who are a part of this great program and are changing lives!!!! Every single one of you has a special place in my heart!!!! Without you none of this would be happening!!!!! The blood, sweat and tears that has gone into creating this program has all been so worth it!!!!! We hope to reach every single school we can by doing this show! A special thank you to my amazing son for being such a leader and for having such an amazing selfless heart! I love you!!!!! Enjoy this ride because you deserve it!!!!! Everyone please set your DVR to record and watch these amazing high schoolers and how they are changing out future!
