I know for Certain When you put your faith in Jesus Christ, you become a child of God. alive in Christ. He also gives you the gift of the Holy Spirit. You are in Christ and Christ is in you; you live in God and God lives in you; you live in the Spirit and the Spirit lives in you. When you come to believe these truths you will no longer try to believe - you will believe! It is possible to be a Christian for a long time without understanding what it means to live in Christ. The word live in Greek is in the continuous tense. It literally means to carry on living in Christ. This is what God wants you to do, right where He has placed you. The scripture says: If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God. 1 John 4:15 The Holy Spirit empowers you to live in Christ. This comes about through Gods mercy, which enables you to live every day to His glory. Apart from Christ, you cannot receive anything from God. In Christ you have already received your inheritance; a portion of Gods riches. Because you are in Christ, you hold a key to Gods treasury. Gods purpose is to meet all your needs. God already had you in mind when He created the world (see Ephesians 1:4-5). This is difficult to understand, but it is a God-given truth that you need to believe with all your heart. When you heard the gospel of Jesus Christ and believed, God placed His stamp of ownership on you and gave you the Holy Spirit as the guarantee of your inheritance. What an amazing truth: that God planned your inheritance before the foundation of the world! All you have to do is claim it in faith and enjoy the wonderful life He predestined for you. Let us pray: Lord Jesus, help me to always live in You.
