I know, go back to bed, right? Well my phone buzzed and I saw a Winter Storm Watch issued for most of our area, so I woke up! This was issued by NWS Gray because of a lot of uncertainty with the system approaching. Its one of those storms where timing is everything, and so is track. The timing component is at what point the snow-supported air erodes the rain-supported air. The track is close to an ideal one for the area, so any deviation could bring more (or less) wintry precipitation to the area. Notice I say wintry precipitation, as its not simply a rain or snow event. On top of this, theres a lot of wind and an advisory will likely be issued for Sunday. The take home message is: prep for some wintry weather tonight, especially inland and to the east. Find lots of comfort food to last you through the weekend, and lets all say together....LET IT SNOW! :) - ok, back to sleep.
