I know it is debatable...but in my not so humble opine...Takaski Miike is easily the most prolific director in the history of cinema.....LESSON OF THE EVIL (2012) ranks up there with his best and is a film one would never be seen made in the US...at least not from Hollywood....it is a rough brutal film and not for the faint of heart...it is about what is shown one the surface...not what is truly underneath the mask...this film takes no prisoners.....I thought it was brilliant...at times it reminded of MARTYRS...only in the since of the violence as unending....some may quibble a bit about the CGI....but not I....at least not in this case....highly recommend...
