I know it is nearly Christmas, but instead of cheerful holiday - TopicsExpress

I know it is nearly Christmas, but instead of cheerful holiday posts, I see many posts that are reluctantly reflecting the needs of my dear Facebook friends. Just because it is the holiday season doesnt mean that illness, sorrow, pain and suffering, or trouble and difficult times cease to exist. If anything, they increase for many of us. For some, this is the most difficult time of the year. I cant help but wonder why we are sometimes so hesitant to ask for prayer, positive thoughts, and support from our friends. Social media is the perfect tool for enlisting the mass support we need and provides us with a tool to both request, and report, the power of prayer. We were created to be social, not solitary, and our creator expects us to call upon Him instead of bearing our burdens alone. He created us to have a relationship with Him...to be his companion...to be his friend. That being said, I myself am going to ask for the support of your prayers and positive thoughts. I have been suffering from some pretty intense pain for over a week due to spinal stenosis. I can move, but nerves are being compressed leaving me with constant pain. A trip to the doctor, the ER, shots, steroids, and meds have helped very little. With Gods help, I managed to survive the first week of my wonderful new job in the worst pain I can remember feeling in a very long time. I feel blessed to have been given such a wonderful opportunity and I am thankful for the divine touch that gave me the strength to endure what I felt I couldnt during some intense pain. God is truly good. I believe in miracles and divine intervention and I will be remembering each of you who have expressed a need in my prayers. I, too, am asking for your prayers and positive thoughts, but I also believe that some are given the special talent of medical care and healing touch. So, until my miracle happens, does anyone know of a qualified, competent and caring chiropractor who is good with spines and compressed nerves?
