I know its Christmas Eve, but today also marks one month since my surgery and 25% completion of my chemo and radiation treatment. Ive made huge improvements in my mobility through a lot of hard work and some great physical therapists; almost all of my mobility is back on my left side except some shoulder weakness and poor flexibility in my knee. I have been completely overwhelmed by the love and support of my friends, family, neighbors, and community. I owe a million thank yous to people-- especially my UNCW track family who came together in an exceedingly generous way to support Kelly and I. You guys are amazing. Thank you to the Jamestowners who brought food and decorated our house and thank you to those who sent their love, thoughts, and gifts from afar. Ive never felt more appreciative of my friends and family or more loved. People are truly kind and good. Merry Christmas, all.
