I know its Friday night, and I hate to jump on a soapbox, but this - TopicsExpress

I know its Friday night, and I hate to jump on a soapbox, but this really troubles me. In the ten years I served we were never discouraged from practicing our faiths (it was; in fact, encouraged and not once do I ever remember it being shoved down anyones throats). I am not a Combat Veteran. I served during peacetime and I cannot even imagine what many of you have had to endure. My Son seldom speaks of his tours in Iraq and the few stories he has told me are completely incomprehensible. But I know that there have been a few times in my life where my beliefs and faith have gotten me through when I am not sure anything else could have. Why then, would we rob the very people we ask the most from of the very thing (and possibly the ONLY thing) they may have that gives them any comfort? And why then, would we now be allowing all kind of exceptions for one particular religion that violates every principal our military was based on? I think that answer is obvious, sadly. Believe, dont believe, whatever you take unto your heart is your own and NO ONE can take that away. I am not a Combat Veteran, but I am a Veteran - and I promise I will fight this as hard as I can. -Mom qpolitical/it-only-took-this-admiral-2-minutes-to-destroy-obamas-bible-control-plan/
