I know its been a few days since weve updated everyone on how Im doing so here it goes: As of my appointment with the specialist on Monday there have been few answers. It was determined that I dont have ulcers but instead could possibly have Crohns Disease or there is even a possibility of having carcinoid tumors (the rare cancer my mother had in 99.) There have been studies that show these types of tumors can have hereditary traits & there is some concern because my mother had her tumor so soon after I was born, about 4 years, & those types of tumors can live in your body for up to 20 years. As of right now though, the idea of tumors is just a scary possibility & nothing concrete. I did have an MRI on Wednesday that determined there was some suspicious inflammation some where in my abdomen. Because of those results I have to have a endo & colonoscopy sometime next week. Hopefully those tests will finally give us some real answers & I can begin the road to recovery. With college classes starting on Monday & two jobs in the works (both of which Ive been unable to start because of my health circumstances) there has been a lot of added stress; all of your thoughts & prayers, however, had added much comfort during this difficult time.
