I know its only the end of March, but I just wanted to remind everyone about the importance of getting ready for summer by having their air conditioner checked. Just like everything else, the ac units have parts that wear out and need maintenance. By keeping it in top condition, it cools better, using less energy. Same with having good attic insulation, cutting down on internal heat sources, and having your windows screened. As a matter of fact, I recently found out that by putting sun protection screens on your windows, if you turn in the receipt to the energy company, theyll give a discount. Definitely something to consider, given how your bill can sometimes even double in the summer with the ac going on day and night.
