I know it’s been a long time since I posted I have had a lot of things going on in my crazy life but a friend of mine told me about this music video and I looked it up. It really hit home for me and I won’t lie it brought tears to my eyes. It’s really an inspirational song and I realize I have grown really dependent on my make-up in the past few years. I have worn fake eye lashes for the past 5 years and rarely go a day without wearing them they’ve become somewhat of a security blanket. I cake the make up on and even wear colored contacts to change the color of my eyes. The other day as I was getting ready to go out my oldest daughter (4) came in the bathroom and told me she wasn’t ready to go that she needed to put her make-up on first (she has some play brushes) this isn’t the kind of example I want to set for her. I don’t want her growing up thinking she has to alter her appearance to like herself. I am going to really challenge myself to not try so hard… youtube/watch?v=GXoZLPSw8U8
