I know many dont believe in the magic of Christmas but I do for the magic is love. Its love that makes so many want to help children feel special and yes it is a magical experience, when a childs wishes come true. Let me explain, as a foster parent, I have seen many people donate gifts from a foster care angel tree that these children would have very little if not anything for Christmas. It does a childs self esteem wonders to know someone they have never met cared enough to give them a special toy or outfit that they could only dream of. Now I know its not about what you get at Christmas and how children in this country are too materialistic. This is all true. Its also about the giving where magic takes place. Today, a man dropped off some little red wooden carts with little wooden wheels that he had made by hand to our agency. His wife had recently passed away, and he knew how much she loved to give to children at Christmas and had made these little wooden carts for toddlers to push around the house, in her memory. Our baby was given one of these special carts. On the bottom of it, the man had written about his wife and her memory and the years she was on this earth. Thats magical. Thats love. Please, I know in this world there are people who take advantage of the generosity and good hearts of others, but for everyone who abuses this, I believe the magic of love does far more for those in need. Next time you see an angel tree, dont hesitate for you just might be the angel a child is looking for. Christmas Blessings
