I know many folks (including myself) have been disappointed with the amount of rain received, or lack there of, but unfortunately with the pattern currently in place we can only expect scattered showers and storms with little to no focusing mechanism other that the local seabreeze. Later this week the high builds back into the southern plains ending our chances of rain and causing temps to rise. Then the forecast becomes increasingly interesting late this weekend into early next week. As stated before in my previous discussion, we would have to keep an eye on the tropics due to the time of the year and the way the upper level pattern was setting up. It does appear that a tropical entity of some sort will develop in the western Gulf. Of course at this juncture it is pure speculation on the direct effect if any will occur up here it definitely bears watching! Stay tuned!!
