I know many people who have lost their businesses and their jobs. - TopicsExpress

I know many people who have lost their businesses and their jobs. Tax the rich? The richest person that I knew in our area lost his shopping plazas (after small businesses went under) and his money. The most upscale store chain "Leisure Living" (2 stores) closed and one became a used clothing store. The largest factory in our area is going to Puerto Rico or Costa Rica or some Rico. Tax the rich? Better hurry while there might be a few left. Most (yes I said "most") of the people I know in my area have lost their homes which also means their life savings and their credit rating. Houses in our area dropped in value by a factor of 2 to 3. The average house price drop in the US I understand is 40% - which implies many or most American families lost their equity and hence their life savings. What astounds me is how little concern there seems to be on this from the news media or from Washington. Well, homes have inflated in Washington DC, so unless they look, they will not see the pain. Real unemployment and deficit adding per year is 2 to 3 times higher than under the last president - who certainly was no charmer. Where is Bill Clinton when you need him? Black unemployment and Hispanic unemployment and teen unemployment are worse, as they are for others as well. I cannot guess why this inhumanity exists, but it does, and it seems, mostly no one cares. Rep Dowdy here says it well. youtube/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=5dFpam0IMbc
