I know most of you have seen it but still one of my favorites... We have been through a lot and just like when people asked me during the recession Hows business? and I replied we are still open... I am thankful for the living breathing thing that Johnnys is thanks to my pops, my partners, staff, customers, friends and FAMILY!!!!... Family First!!!! As a kid I wanted to go to work with my Pops soooo bad... I remember him fighting me for two reasons I understood later in life. I would always get car sick on the OC to Hemet drive and when the kitchen was closed he could not have me in the Saloon. I became a little pro bowlers as he would buy me hours at Hemet Bowl & leave me with his good friend that ran it. I played on Ken & Nancys farm with their daughter, they owned Nancys Lees Bar & Grill in Homeland. I would flip burgers at Jimbos that was next door to the Original Johnnys. And so many other things my AWESOME Pops would do to satisfy my wanting to be with him. I would throw up in his coffee cup while he was driving his silver 1984 Nissan Sentra, He always said he didnt want to drive a car better than his customers did. Memories memories memories.
