I know my facebook page has been mostly about Down syndrome these past two years. Im sorry if its been overkill. Super G kinda took us by surprise and by storm... We had no idea there was such a thing as the T21 Club with all the beautiful kids/people and families in it. While my heart grieves for all the babies aborted when a prenatal diagnosis is given, I also kinda love the fact that Ds kids are so rare -- just because it sorta feels like hes extra special. Everywhere we go the majority of people have never met a person with Ds - just like we hadnt before G arrived. I used to be afraid of what people would think when they realized he has Ds. Now Im ridiculously proud of who he is and feel lucky to be his mama. I feel even more blessed knowing that each of his siblings feel lucky to have G in our world, too.
