I know my page is normally about food, but in light of keeping it real I feel compelled to share a personal turn of events thats basically been consuming me for the past week. Completely out of the blue, our precious daughters (along with thousands of other kids) are being redistricted to a different school. We LOVE our existing elementary school, which also happens to be the closest one to our house and no where near capacity. This is all part of a bigger plan - i.e. other schools in the county which have been capped - and we are devastated by the proposal to move them next year. We are part of a group of neighborhoods that is planning to fight this to the end. Weve found flaws in the reports and are consumed with making sure our voices are heard. If any of you have fought redistricting in your area and won PLEASE share any and all advice in the comments. Thank you so much...its hard to think about my children going through such a difficult change if its truly not necessary.
