I know not everyone got hit badly (including us, though they closed schools and shut down transportation), but some did. Im not mad that the city was proactive about something that could have been a tragedy. Im ok with my daughter being home from school rather than trudging through the snow to get there and back home. Most people in the city are warm and snug at home, hopefully. Im sure there is an overabundance of french toast being cooked today, given the bread, milk and egg shopping spree that most people make before a storm hits (you can exclude us from that group!) I also know that some people were hit very hard with the storm, and I hope theyre all safe. Its so bizarre to see folks mad at the city for shutting down during what could have been a devastating storm. I mean, really? Thats like being mad that you didnt need a seatbelt to save your life in an auto accident, or having a lesser stage of cancer than you could have... you get the picture! So, be grateful that youre home, safe, with 500 pieces of french toast to get you through the day. Happy Tuesday!
