I know of people who still say Angiyi ephathini yama Shona and those who say Handitambe nemaNdevere. I will be bold enough to say hate me or love me for saying it, this is stupidity at its worst. You are only doing a dis-service to yourself by limiting yourself. Shona or Ndebele is only a God created language and in fact, remember any extra language you speak is an extra skill! I get lots of people who always say The General so you are 50/50 Shona and Ndebele.. Wrong, I am 100% Shona and 100% Ndebele and I am very proud of it. Despise the Ndebeles you despise my mother, despise the Shonas you despise my father. Dont tell me its a 100 year problem that can not be changed. A bad habit is a bad habit even if it is a million years old just like a lie will never be the truth even if it is told a million times. Folks, I raise these issues because my heart bleeds to be part of a disintergrated nation, a nation which statistically boasts of the best literacy levels in Africa. Come on Zimbabweans, lets tolerate each other and believe me, our motherland would be a better place to live in. After all God is not Ndebele and neither is He Shona. Lets hear your views on this important matter. I pray that may the spirit of oneness become a priority and that language inclinations will not birth unseen barriers in our land in Jesus name. God bless Africa! God bless Zimbabwe! Rise up Zimbabwe!
