I know of quite a few CHC members who started to doubt the integrity of the church leaders. But they do not dare to voice their reservations too openly. We have observed that there are backlash on those who have brought up their concerns. They were chided and labeled as haters. They were accused to have wisdom. They were ostracized, etc. etc. And what pains me was that many of these vocal ones who conducted this “hate campaign” against those who merely want to know the facts are very young people, many of whom are still in schools, colleges and universities, or are in their 20s. I see a very scary picture of these young ones being brain-washed over the past years since their joining of this church when they were just very young teenagers. They seem to have lost their capacity to discern what is good or bad, right or wrong, acceptable or unacceptable. Their beliefs are not based on facts. They mindset, attitude, value system and belief are all molded to follow the church leaders’ instructions. To me, the cheating of money is less sinful than the harm to the minds of these impressionable young. For those who are concerned about our church affairs, finance, and direction, or have reservations of the church leaders, we need to voice out. Not just for ourselves, not just to bring the church on a right track; but more crucially to stop the poisoning of the minds of the younger generation.
