I know one way of cutting down on cost in the market is by bargaining for reduction. It happens here in Ghana but I dont know if it does on Brazillian food market. According to Mrs Quashigah before the Common of enquiries today, their contract was set to pay them only to cook whiles the ministry supplies them with foodstuff and ingredients. Who does that? The caterers were asked to go and pick what they needed without handling cash, so no bargaining just spend, spend, spend. At the end of the day $35000 was alleged spent on feeding supporters for two weeks, excluding monies paid caterers for cooking. They behaved like rich pampered kids in Brazil. Mrs Quashigah was asked; do you think $35000 was indeed spent on total amount of items and foodstuff you all collected to feed the supporters for two weeks? Mrs Quashigah ; no my Lord, we could even have used half of the amount stated or a little below for the same purpose. hmmmmmm
