I know our Town has fallen upon hard times financially, but, come on! I was on my way home from Keene this afternoon on the Gilsum Mine Rd and saw a Town truck spreading what I assumed to be sand. I noticed several very large rocks in the road which were not there an hour or two ago, then I saw what was coming out of the truck, not sand, but rocks. Stones of all sizes. Heres a picture of what I picked up in 10 seconds in front of my driveway! These were average size for what I saw and a lot smaller than some I saw further back on the road. Seems to me that the Town could make some good money selling these stones to a landscaping business then buy some real sand with the profits. I guess were looking at another winter with many flat tires and chipped paint again.
