I know people from other countries--and some in the US--who live - TopicsExpress

I know people from other countries--and some in the US--who live off the grid. People who arent slaves to technology and who immerse themselves in the environment surrounding them. They are reachable ONLY when they choose to be because they are busy living their lives. I wrote about a man like this in Dancing Barefoot only to have someone say it was unrealistic that a person could be unreachable. It isnt unrealistic at all--especially in the context of a photographer who travels the world and lives for the moment. Even for non photographers (or writers in my case), It is the reality for many and one I admire. Many people dont have social media accounts or cell phone numbers that they give out--and Ive met more than a few during my travels who dont own a cell phone at all. I am not that reachable when I choose to be. I am known to turn off my phone for days at a time or, when in the Caribbean, completely disappearing from the rest of the world for a few weeks. I read the below article a few minutes ago and wish I had taken the kids off to Belize like I considered several years ago. :-) I love people who live in the flow of their soul.
