I know some of you guys are friends with my son Haden and have heard about our accident so I thought I would catch you all up. We were watching TV and Greg and Haden were looking at his gun. Greg had taken it all apart and put it back together and was just telling Haden to always make sure the clip is out. (Its a Glock) Anyhow Greg was doing something and it accidentally went off. His hand was over the end of the barrel so the bullet went thru the palm of his hand, out the side of it and thru the muscle in his thigh. I think he said it was a 40 cal hollow point. I am not too knowledgeable about bullets. We went to the hospital by Ambulance. They cleaned it and dressed it. They couldnt really do much there so we have an appointment in a few hours with a specialist to see if he needs surgery or what. This has been some night. My boys were wonderful throughout this ordeal. Now it is just wait and see what is next. A lot of pain for Greg, a lot of worries and a lot of uncertainty about the future. However, thru all of this worry and pain I am more thankful than I can express. It could have been so much worse. Goodnight all,lets see what the morning brings.
