I know some people feel naturally compelled to cover up for the President as if its their civic responsibility to do so by pointing out all type of conspiracy theory that they think has been cooked up against the Presidency by the APC and northern elites but i couldnt help but repost this fine summation by Gbadegesin Olanrewaju Dahood in a beautiful debate started by Susan Henshaw. Below is Olanrewajus comment: What a shame? This is just unfortunate. It is the bestiality of the highest order. Why should anyone insult others simply because their opinions differ. We will always agree to disagree or disagree to agree. But, honestly, i challenge anyone on this page to just mention one good thing GEJ has done for this country since he assumed office. Is this the way government is run? Where is the electricity promised? Where is justice, fair play, freedom of speech etc?Where is development? We were promised transformation, where is it? Where is security? We were told there would be massive employment, are Nigerians employed? The health sector has witnessed more strikes than ever. Education is in shambles. Polytechnics students have been home for almost a year. Their university counterparts are not better. The roads have become death traps. The government is weak to fight corruption. Just ask Stella Oduah, she is a good example of corruption. What about Deziani Madueke? It is under GEJ that a fraud like Fayose could be presented for an election. He eventually won. A suspect in late Bola Iges case made a minister Abachas son has been cleared of corrupt charges and will contest the gubernatorial election in Kano next year on the bill of PDP Just under GEJ,Nigerias Governors Forum elction was won by Jang who polled 16 votes against Amaechis 19. He singlehandedly gave Rivers oil wells to Bayelsa. GEJ increased oil pump price to say a big thank you to Nigerians for voting him.Nigerias debt profile is increasing. Where is the 20 billion dollars missing from the treasury. The blunders of this federal government are just endless. Yet, when you say a word about the happenings, some people want to tear you apart as if you are not a stakeholder in this country. They are blind to the reality and the truth. They know it but just too sentimental and never objective.Nigerians are sick and tired of this trial by error president. This president is clueless and bereft of ideas Some people from some particular region of this country are ready to pick a fight with you when you criticize the president. Even when your criticism is constructive. They call you names like APC,that you have been bribed Nigeria has never had it this bad. When OBJ was president, he was mostly criticized by the South West people. Till date people still abuse him. I always say it, OBJ put us all in this present mess. He nominated GEJ, he made GEJ the president after he left office. But,GEJ is a wrong choice. He continues to get it wrong.Nigerians have not felt his impact since he came on board. Am a Nigerian, i cant pretend this is the best of times when things are not working as it should be. And no one has the right to insult me for criticizing a system failure. The truth remains that our president is not getting it right. We are all in this mess. We just have to be objective.People should stop thinking along tribal lines. I know party faithfuls and pro-GEJ would think otherwise and even as usual be compelled to do Abati or Okupes Job but hey! Chill, those pointing out GEJs flaws dont hate him! They actually do like him more than u do and many atimes only demonstrate what i call Tough Love coz they are pained at the level things are going so bad with a country they hold so dear to their heart. Simple!
