I know some people think mourning an animal like you do a human is silly, but for those of us who cant have children, our pets become our babies, and Laika to me, was in all essence of the word, my baby girl.. Gonna miss so many things about her... Miss her smiles, her licks, her cuddles, her silliness, her ability to Piss me off and make me laugh in the same moment, her strength, her bouncing, her protectiveness, her excitability, her calmness, her morning wake up calls, her love for the cats, her love and respect for her birth mamma, her love for her parents Pat and I. But most Of all I am going to miss her companionship.. She was there for me with unconditional love and affection, even if I didnt deserve it.. She knew just what I needed before I needed it, whether it was an in-your-face mauling, a hug- which she was amazing at giving, or a silent friend to sit beside me and let me pet her.. She was more then just a dog to me, And Ill never have another like her.. Rest in peace, run and play free my Laika, Ill see you later..
