I know that Christmas has passed; I know that it is Monday, and for those who may have had extra time off for the holiday, it is time to go back to work; but I am still making discoveries in the context of my daily Bible reading and study spent in thoughtful meditation on the words of the Word: {And seeing, they (the shepherds) made it known abroad publicly telling about the word spoken to them concerning this Child. And all those who heard marveled about the things spoken to them by the shepherds. (Luke 2:17-18)}... We know that we are not supposed to look down on other people; yet when we are honest with ourselves, most, if not all, have to admit that we do it. On that night of great miracles, as God made His first public appearance in the flesh, in the form of an infant who was born to a young couple who were just starting out on their own in life, the shepherd sentries ran through the streets of the village proclaiming this invasion of Heaven; yet it appears that almost no one responded to go outside their houses in order to see this miracle first-hand for themselves; because they viewed these shepherd messengers as being beneath them... They missed out! As we approach this New Year, lets resolve to step outside our walls and engage alongside some of those who we might have a first impression as being beneath us, and expose ourselves to participate with miracles: {Do not be forgetful of hospitality toward strangers, for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it. (Hebrews 13:2)}
