I know that children are supposed to use their manners towards their parents. But, what about the other way around? What about the parents using their manners towards their children? As Im walking out of Sweet Tomatoes from getting my dinner to go, there was a family next to me. A mom, dad, and 2 boys. The younger one was in a stroller, and the older one was with his dad. They were walking into Sweet Tomatoes, and the mom was struggling to get thru the door with the stroller, and not only b/c there was a sign improperly placed right in front of the door as you enter, but because the dad was just standing behind her, saying out load Hurry up, (name of woman)! So, that was the first thing that bothered me, the fact that he was not interested in helping his wife get in thru the door, he was just too busy complaining that she wasnt moving fast enough. So, I went ahead and put my bag down, moved the sign for her, and pushed the door open for her even farther, so she could get thru. She says Oh my gosh, thank you so much!, gives her husband a dirty look and says Now, how come it took a generous stranger to do something that you couldve easily done yourself? And he just rolled his eyes and huffed. But, then, on top of that, once they got inside (the door still being open), now his older son all of the sudden wasnt moving fast enough for him. So, with the son walking infront of him, he pushes the son in the head, and says Move faster! Omg! That just made my mouth drop! I wish I had the courage to say something to him, but I just walked away. I dont know him, and since he was acting that way towards his wife and son, I wasnt about to bark up his tree. Seeing episodes like this play out in front of me really makes me sympathize for the wife and children.
