I know that strictly we are Motorsport FB page, but the Goodwood Revival is also about vintage aircraft. One of the appeals of Motorsport is the noise and the sound of a Rolls Royce Merlin engine in the Spitfire is one of the best in the world. So just for one day lets do PLANES!! Todays cover photo is of the first ever Revival in 1998 and the flying legend Ray Hanna bringing the Spitfire down the start and finish straight at about 20ft! I was there on that first weekend and it was the most amazing piece of flying I have ever and probably will ever see. A couple of years ago the organisers arranged a huge formation of Spitfires and this is my video of them taking off....turn it up and enjoy!!
