I know that today is memorable for a lot of folks, but for me it has even more significance. Two years ago today I was on an operating table at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore having all my lady bits removed along with cancerous tumors the size of nerf footballs, 7 chemo rounds, 28 straight days of radiation, no hair, eyebrows or eyelashes later, I am still here. The complications are/were a pain, but they are manageable so far. Word of advice to all you ladies and those who know and love ladies, if it doesnt feel or seem right, have it checked out. Gynecological cancer often has no symptoms and therefore is not caught at an early stage. You know your bodies, so if it doesnt seem right, have it checked out. Be your own advocate, it may very well save your life. Hooray for 2 years!! The battle continues...
