I know that we usually dont talk to much about high school but, I - TopicsExpress

I know that we usually dont talk to much about high school but, I feel like I need to share some small memories with you all, they may not be over-all impressive, but they impressed me. Even if you dont remember them, I do. If you were like me standing in the lunch lines at school then it could be incredibly awkward. But that was a time when I really enjoyed watching and learning about everyone. Plus, I must have a very open pallet, because I really do miss those crazy chicken and rice burritos with the liquid cheese! Ha I wish I would have gotten to know everyone a little better, but most of the time I was just trying to fulfill my fake it till you make it mantra. Wendy Bale remember when in our interior design class, we created the Wendy Show and we just kept building on it! It was so great! You are so funny and I enjoyed your humor immensely! Alex Hutchings, I cannot tell you how impressed I was by your academic abilities. Every time we had to memorize a scripture in our seminary class, and repeat it as soon as we could, I always secretly tried to beat you! (Dont worry I never did) Kerrah Lynnette Kleiner, I knew how nervous you were about getting up in front of an audience, I always silently cheered for you when you got up and shared a project or research paper. It truly was brave! (Especially in Mrs. Parkers class) Alex Bess, I was always in awe of how you tried so hard to build others up, even if it meant putting yourself down. That is one of the hardest things any one person can do. Tiffani Hafen, I really enjoyed just being around you. You made so many people feel comfortable about themselves. I remember saying something super weird in the atrium with a whole bunch of people and it went totally silent... But you (without skipping a beat) said, yeah, totally! And then the moment passed, and I was super grateful! Alex Cardoza, I never quite knew why you played down your beauty? In high school I really envied your beauty, especially your skin! But you never tried to make people notice that, or used it to hurt anyone, you always had your personality do the work. Nicole Friedel, people thought you were really sweet and quiet. The sweet part is true, but, you are not by any means quiet ;) remember when you were pulled over going to lunch, and the officer was enamored by your sweet looks, and then all of a sudden, you yelled at him saying, where were you hiding, I didnt see you!? And he replied, um...that bush back there. And you yelled back,A bush? You hid behind a bush!? I thought we might be arrested right then and there! You may look quiet, but you have fire. Luis Allegria, I thought you were really cute in school, on many occasions I saw you holding a door open for someone. You were so nice, and a gentleman. That is so commendable these days when chivalry isnt valued as much as it should be. Alesha Christensen, most everyone knew how silly and raucous you could be, but a couple of times I was lucky to have very enlightened conversations with you. Thanks for being a quietly thoughtful person. Ashley Potter Shelton, I didnt know you very well, just from afar. But I cant tell you how much fun I had Senior trip with you! Thanks for just going with flow and being a good friend. You made me feel like I had always known you well. Thai Nizza, you were really quiet in school, but you were an incredibly hard worker then, and you still are except now youre much, much louder! People are missing out if they dont know you. Im lucky to get work with you all the time, youre like a brother to me! Jessica Cowdin, I really respected how you didnt seem to care about the public opinion, you knew who you were and didnt mind if others didnt like it. I felt like you really let yourself enjoy all of your favorite things, while most of us just excused things we really enjoyed as dumb or I used to like that when I was little. Kara Feller Smith, you were alone of the main reasons I felt the need to really set goals in my life. I remember how organized you were and how you had your whole high school and college career mapped out, though it may not have gone the exact way you had planned, you still had something to constantly reach for and that was amazing for me! Ami Jo Curtis, I remember how surprised and excited I was to see you in the Dr Suess play. I had known that you were in choir and madrigals, but, I never heard your individual voice. You did such a great job, and I remember feeling really inspired by your performance, so thanks for that! Seriously, this is just the tiniest snippet of some of the memories I had in that impressed me, or just made my day. Thanks to all of those who participated, on a daily basis, to my high school happiness!
