I know there are some that new Frederick Dunton and are not going - TopicsExpress

I know there are some that new Frederick Dunton and are not going to attend his service because of various reasons. But here is the lil poem I wrote for it. Over 35 years have come and gone since Fred and I were kids. But I still remember 43 Carrol Street. ( the place that he once lived). Together we explored life and played around the yard. Together we formed a friendship even tho times were often hard. Twas an era of misfortune. The war in nam begun to cease. Still we braved the world around us as we played within the streets. Upon the TV screens we watch things like old Felix the Cat. Or when the Three Stooges was on the air on the couch we surely sat. We pretended to be a lot of things as we dreamed of days to come. Acted out the roles of our Heros ( like the Lone Ranger with his shiney guns). Together we learned to sit a bike and take the training wheels right off. We with pride never cried with all the Boo-Boos that we got. We climbed up trees and onto roofs. Lept from porches to the ground. When bullies tried to force their ways, together we knocked them down. We shared our sodas and little snacks. Pretended they were feast. Then fought off imaginary armies or slayed a phanthom beast. So young were we. so innocent. just two boys growing up in life as friends. Sharing times that would stick in our minds long after those times did end. Yes we were cousins. To this our blood line can attest. Sad am I with teary eyes for now hes laid to rest. Forever I shall think fondly of those times that we once shared. Shall forever remember my cousin Fred whom always proved he cared. No time shall pass that I wont think of him as I journey on. Rest in peace for now my friend. I will see you later on........ George F. Dunton IV
