I know there are still some out there who, like me, dont want to allow the euphoria of 8Static Festival to give way to the workweek doldrums, so here are some personal highlights. Thanks to every single person who attended. So. Much. Fun. -Corset Lores entire set for the complete originality of her sound, from vocal to instrumental -Bit Shifters amazing multi-DMG Live Mode opening followed by his gorgeously ebullient BSK cover-remix. Still hearing it in my head. -Crazy new work from Baron Knoxburry. What a great set that was! -Being introduced to the music of SSD Engage- great electronic grooves with free-synced LSDJ and what reminded me of Canterbury prog-style vocals -Nullsleep ending his set with abrasive modular synth beauty -Bubblyfishs first track, starting with no introduction and completely seducing the audience. So good. Plus getting to hear fantastic new tracks from Chipocrite, Danimal Cannon and exileFaker as well as jumping in on a cover of Simple Minds with both exileFaker and Corset Lore! And during my own set - Glenn Braun Graeber dropping his notes all over the stage as he acted out a middle section for a new track (I saved some of the papers) -Being joined on stage suddenly by Tony Ness for the final verse of End of A String. -Kicking at the trash can image on screen that Batsly Adams designed for my visuals and seeing it actually fall over. -Getting a crushing bear hug by AdamGetsAwesome on stage, having a million people join us moments later, and then being held aloft while Adam remixed Fan Service for me. Still laughing about that one. Also, sharing an unforgettable hotel experience with Josh Davis, Tamara Yadao, Alex Kiefer, Mike Goodman and Nigel MacGyver Shields. There is so much more, but I ran out of tags! Love you guys. See you there next year!
