I know there is alot of controversy over the Remington Versamax or Maxus Or Sbe2 or whatever. But I have to give a shout out to Remington so here we go. I bought a 1187 super mag 3 years ago and had nothing but problems with it. Something broke one morning that first year in the blind and it wouldnt load shells. Under warranty I sent it into Remington and the entire season had to shoot a different gun (870 Mag). Got it back after duck season that year, shot skeet and a few doves and when duck season came in me and Kevin Gwinn were in the blind like the first week and it was freezing out. I shot once and the second shot I herd something inside break. I took it apart and the action assembly that slides back and forth actually split in two pieces. Disgusted I was steaming with anger. I was done with this pos Remington blah blah. So that Monday I called Remington again and let em have it. I said how much more must happen before I get to upgrade to a versamax and pay the difference or whatever. I was in shock when she asked me what color I wanted my versamax in. I said duck blind camo and how much? She said not to bother she was sending me a brand new versamax in in the mail. So I spent 600 bucks on a 1187 and in return got the 1100 dollar camo sportsman for no charge. If thats not customer service then I dont know what is. I was about to order me a new maxus but now I love the versamax and have not had any problems.
