I know there is some animal lovers on this Facebook. This post is to the ones who need to get it. About 13 years ago I prayed for a dog and sure enough I got Scooter. Not any ordinary dog but a dachshund. I have loved the snot out of her and treat her like my baby. Along the way we got Abigail through Scooter. Both dogs are nearing the end of their lives. It will break my heart when that day arrives. I said all that to tell you what I learned in having these dogs. They are great companions to have. I will own no others afterward. The reason: I was not a responsible owner. Dogs or any other pet are like children. They need food, shelter, and routine visits to the vet. I did not do this enough for my babes. Proper nutrition is a must as well as getting them fixed at an early age. That is what my rant is about. If you cannot afford to do all this then do not get a pet. It sickens me to see your animals thrown out at the animal shelter to fend for themselves. They do not know how when they have been sheltered for so long. There are some who breed their pets and sell the offspring for profits never to a check on who is buying. (Thats for my pit bull people mostly). Did you know that some of these pets are actually used for ungodly things. You keep your pet outside to get pregnant over and over again so we have stray animals running about. Shame on me for not taking mine to vet like I should have. Maybe this post will help someone make the right decision. P.S. If you cant get junior or missy to clean their room, how the heck do you expect them to be responsible enough to take care of a pet????? Thank you for reading this post.
