I know this has been shared a lot today but this is easily the best video of any of the clashes that have occurred so far. And, to put in my two cents to those who say the protestors in MK are more aggressive and different from those in Admiralty, this is not entirely true - these protestors are of a different ilk because they have been provoked to be. They have been attacked by more anti-occupy protestors, they have had their belongings stolen, they have been charged at by the police (yes, I was there, they did not charge police lines, they just held their positions which they took back when the number of cops was minimal...but they got forcefully pushed back by cops who then took their shit) and because there are a lot more untrained policemen in the area (changed now as the big riot cops in Admiralty have transferred to MK). Sure, you might all have lost support for this movement, and you probably feel it has dragged on long enough...but you would say this if youre sitting in your comfy homes living your comfy plastic lives. If youve been down to the front lines and experienced the unjust brutality for yourself then you will know why the support is growing on the street, not subsiding. Your roads will be blocked for sometime more. A small inconvenience to tolerate I would say to save the freedoms that are fast diminishing in our city.
